The wheels, front bumper and suspension you see on the the picture is being removed (going on new project) they will be replaced with

3Inch lift springs, 2 inch suspension lift spacer, 2 inch pro comp shock absorbers with drop mounts and brand new rubber boots Brand new 30mm wheel spacers all round 5x black modular rims 4 fitted with BF Goodrich Baja Champion 265/75/16 spare fitted with Greenway Big Macho 265/75/16

I come here as a convert from LZ. Got tired of reading
all the hostility and negativity in some of the threads on there so
here I am.

My off road toy is a non standard Defender 90 300 TDi and thus far as proven itself to be capable of keeping up with the boys. I've been into Landrovers since I passed my test and spent many years competing in CCV and Comps with P&D LRC, but no longer have the time or commitment to follow that path.
Good old Diesel Defender keeps me Off-Road and laning though so all is not lost.

Looking forward to getting out and about with you guys and gals soon.

I thought it was going to be backlash in the crown wheel but it wasn't that easy.
I've since found that its the sun and planet gears that have excessive play. So I want to know if there is anyway to take up the play in them, I hope its just going to be just a case of shims or new thrust washers.

so the plan is 3 sets verticals down to the chassis!
a: outside at the windscreen down through the wings onto the chassis
b: inside behind the seats down to the chassis
c: inside in the back by the back door down to the chassis at rear crossmember
b+c are connected inside by diagonal and verticals

Now home but the leg is about three times its normal size and painful as fuck, but drugs help .. 'specially tramadol ..

Checkup again in a fortnight where they'll x-ray and decide how much, if any, more it needs to fix the knee cap properly, but this morning it's feeling pretty good and I'm putting weight on it steadily, so looking good so far.]]>
